This weekend is the biggest SA festival and holiday, "Carnival." What with parades, street festivals, and camparmento, it should shape up to be a pretty fun time!
To help us celebrate, (and to give the Hogar house parents/ other workers a little break) a church has come in to prepare its own version of camparmento and allow the others to take a short vacation away from the Hogar.
Thus all the kids are sleeping in the daycare center and sharing meals and games together there, which is busy, somewhat loco, but definitely a great time. However, what I'm the most excited for is to get out on the streets and join my fellow latin culture in its very distinctive and wild version of "festejar- ing." What a riot! (uh, literallly...)
